About the PTO

Who We Are

The Henry Whittemore School Parent-Teacher Organization, Inc. is a nonprofit organization serving the students, families, teachers, and staff of Henry Whittemore Elementary School in Waltham, Massachusetts. We are an approved 501(c)(3) organization classified as a public charity. Our federal tax-exempt status was effective February 12, 2018.

Our Mission

The mission of the Whittemore PTO is to encourage and develop parent participation between the teachers and the school personnel so that their combined efforts will work in unison for the educational, physical, mental, and social development of the children.

The PTO works to inform and involve families in matters relating to the activities of the school and to continue to offer programs and activities that are beneficial to the children and to expand those programs where possible.

We welcome donations to the PTO. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, donations may be tax-deductible. Please consult your tax advisor for details.
